WATCH: Baez makes a fool out of Brewers yet again, scores from first base on single

MILWAUKEE — For the second time in three days, Chicago Cubs middle infielder Javier Baez channeled his "El Mago" alter-ego against the Milwaukee Brewers and showed no mercy on the basepaths while scoring from first base on a single by first baseman Anthony Rizzo.

After putting the Cubs up 1-0 in game one of the Milwaukee series by coming all the way around from first base to score on a Rizzo single that featured an error by Brewers center fielder Lorenzo Cain, Baez did the same thing in game three, and, yet again, he benefited from an error by Cain.

With Baez on first base, Rizzo hit a routine single to center field, and Baez motored to third base on the base knock. Attempting to gun Baez down at third, Cain fired an incredibly errant throw over the third baseman's head for a throwing error that enabled Baez to come home and score.

Adding insult to injury for the Brewers on the play was a second throwing error committed by shortstop Orlando Arcia, who could have easily thrown Rizzo out as he attempted to reach third base. However, Arcia's bad throw from the infield grass to third base allowed Rizzo to reach third safely.

Sparked by Baez's fearless base running, the exciting play that put the Cubs up 2-0 in a four-run inning showcased exactly why Baez is widely regarded as one of the best playmakers in baseball.
