WATCH: Bote with gutsy headfirst slide to score on wild pitch |
Cubs third baseman David Bote can apparently do no wrong.
In the third inning of Wednesday's game against the Brewers, he scored on a wild pitch with two outs that went less than 10 feet away from home plate. It was a great heads-up base running by Bote to be able to score from that distance and is reminiscent of hustle plays by Javy Baez. Check out the slide below: We were missing the heads-up base running play to score on a wild pitch only feet from home plate on the Bote highlight reel so here you go. #Cubs @WGNNews pic.twitter.com/2A5E4ix8Mw “Well, hello, Mr. Catcher.
