WATCH: Bryant goes yard after Cubs announcer predicts it |
PHOENIX — After not hitting a home run for nearly two months, Chicago Cubs slugger Kris Bryant hit a two-run blast out to right-center at Chase Field to give the Cubs a commanding 5-0 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. Coming in the eighth inning, Bryant's 12th dinger of the year carried 395 feet after leaving the bat at 100 miles per hour.

Although that might not seem like a particularly bold conjecture, considering that Bryant last went yard on July 21, it was rather uncanny that Deshaies was correct in his assumption.
