WATCH: Bryant hits towering two-run homer

CHICAGO — For the second time in as many games and third time in the last five games, Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant hit a home run on Monday, skying a towering long ball into the bleachers beyond left field.

Marking Bryant's fifth homer of the year, the shot off Miami Marlins pitcher Jarlin Garcia in the in the bottom of the first put the Cubs on top 2-0, scoring Ben Zobrist, who reached base on a walk in the previous at-bat.

Sporting an exit velocity of 102 miles per hour, the 389-foot blast came on an inside fastball and left the bat in a hurry. The no-doubter increased Bryant's season RBI total to 15.
