WATCH: Contreras crushes his first homer of season

by - Senior Writer -

CLEVELAND — It took star Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras until the 20th game to do so, but he finally hit his first home run of the season. And it was a beauty.

Hitting a rope over the wall in left field at Progressive Field that left the bat at 105.6 miles per hour, the 403-footer marked the second home run of the game given up by Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Josh Tomlin.

Contreras is hitting a solid .282 so far this season, but he has not been as dangerous of a power hitter as many expected him to become this season. Perhaps, this laser will help to spark Contreras's power-hitting ways.
