by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — Two innings after clubbing a grand slam, Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras produced another incredible highlight on perhaps the most incredible throw from behind the plate by any backstop this season.

Taking on the Chicago White Sox, Contreras threw a dart to second base in the third inning to out White Sox third baseman Matt Davidson, who was caught roaming too far away from the bag, Contreras perfectly led Cubs shortstop Addison Russell into applying the tag. Davidson slid right into Russell's glove for the out.

Incredibly, Contreras was able to make the throw with practically no line of sight, as the White Sox batter unintentionally blocked his view after a failed bunt attempt.

Conteras was able to complete the perfect throw, nonetheless, showcasing yet again that he is one of the best defensive catchers in baseball.
