CHICAGO — Video boards at sporting venues have long been used to provide fans in attendance with opportunities to have their very own shining moments. Whether it be cheering rowdily, kissing a significant other or dancing wildly, there is a variety of avenues that fan can take en route to gaining video-board fame.

During the Chicago Cubs' 7-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field on Saturday afternoon, one Cubs fan went overboard when given the opportunity to show out on the big screen and made a fool out of himself in the process.

Fathers and dancing do not mix, but this Cubs dad opted to dance his heart out while his perplexed daughters looked on, providing other members of the Wrigley faithful, as well as television viewers, with plenty of laughs. Gyrating to the beat of his own drum, the man held on tightly to his plastic cup of beer, which might have been the source of the foolishness.

All that really matters, however, is whether or not the amateur dancer had fun showing off for countless onlookers, and, based upon the beaming smile on his face, he assuredly did.

Even though he is certain to never hear the end of it from his friends and family concerning his embarrassing stunt, the dancing man appeared to have a great day at the ballpark that he and his daughters will never forget.
