WATCH: Cubs hitting coach gets ejected after throwing drink at umpire

by - Senior Editor -

Cubs star Kris Bryant was hit on the head and left Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies. Cubs hitting coaches Chili Davis and Andy Haines were not happy, and Haines threw a drink at the umpire and was ejected. Davis was also ejected but the Rockies pitcher remained in the game.

Maddon had the following take on his coaches' ejections after the game.

“My argument was ‘stay out of my dugout.’ It’s an emotional moment," Maddon told ESPN's Jesse Rogers. "There was a lot of stuff going on. Don’t look for stuff. Nothing would have happened. We would have been fine."
