WATCH: Dexter Fowler smacks walk-off homer with Titanic music |
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder
Dexter Fowler smacked his first career walk-off homer with two outs in the 14th inning to give the Cards a 4-3 victory on Sunday night.
The homer just went out of the reach of Jason Heyward's glove for the win. "I see J-Hey flying. 'If you catch this, I'm going to cry,'" Fowler said during the postgame interview. "Then he jumped, and I thought he caught it. And then I saw. Words can't even explain it." Heyward: "It got over. It got over." Cubs reliever Luke Farrell is the first pitcher to give up walk-off homers in consecutive games in the MLB since 2007.
