WATCH: Dodgers announcers extremely annoyed about Cubs having fun |
The fun is in the winning as the Chicago Cubs have won 16 of their last 23 games and currently tied for first place with the Brewers in the National League Central division.
During the Cubs 4-0 win in the third inning, the Dodgers announcers were a little salty explaining some of the Cubs players having fun while playing in the game. "They aren't only good defenders, they aren't afraid of kinda rub it in. They have almost a bat-flip mentality as defenders," the announcer said. The FOX Sports announcers went on to criticize the Cubs for having fun throwing the ball around the diamond after a third out. The duo also didn't enjoy Contreras tossing a baseball out of the stadium after a crucial double play which his nose was bloodied. The "bat-flip mentality" comment I agreed with -- I consider that mentality fun and good for the game. Love the flair, love the joy they play with. Can't wait for Dodgers/Cubs again next week!
