WATCH: 'El Mago' does it again by scoring from first on Rizzo's single

MILWAUKEE — Just when it seemed like Chicago Cubs superstar Javier "El Mago" Baez has done it all, he went and pulled off another unthinkable feat on the baseball diamond. With the Cubs taking on the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, Baez incited the Cubs early in the contest with an amazing display of gutsy base running.

Scoring from first base on a routine single off the bat of first baseman Anthony Rizzo, Baez showed no fear as he hustled around the bases to put the Cubs up 1-0 in the top of the first. After reaching base on a bloop single in the second at-bat of the game, Baez darted to second base and then headed for third base on an ensuing lined shot to center field by Rizzo.

Brewers center fielder Lorenzo Cain seemed to get ahead of himself as he prepared to possibly make a throw toward third base in an attempt at outing Baez, and he was unable to cleanly corral the ball. The fielding error spurred Cubs third-base coach Brian Butterfield to wave Baez home, which paid off for Chicago.

The relay throw to the plate was a little off the mark, which enabled Baez to slide in safely. Finishing off the incredible play with a headfirst dive toward home, Baez scored and celebrated with an intense fist pump. "El Mago" was clocked in going very quickly around the bases, as he made it from first to home in just 10.7 seconds. Not many players could score from first base on a routine single to center field, but Baez is one of a kind.
