WATCH: Happ smacks solo blast vs. Reds, single away from cycle |
Chicago Cubs outfielder
Ian Happ really enjoys hitting against the Reds as it's his best hitting average over any National League team.
The youngster smacked a solo homer in the 8th inning to put the Cubs within one run at 4-3. It was his sixth homer of the season. On the day, he is only a single shy of a cycle with a double, triple, and a walk already on the board for him personally. The last Cubs player to hit a cycle was first baseman Mark Grace way back in 1993. In the last two games, Happ is 4-5 with two doubles, a triple, homer, and four walks (3 IBB). Check out the homer below: Four XBH and four walks in two games for @ihapp_1. #EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/CRQGOkZwOm Check out Happ's last 17 at-bats against the Reds: This is truly bizarre: Ian Happ hasn't made an out in play in Cincinnati over his last 17 PAs dating to August 22, 2017. That's...good? Bad? I don't know. It's definitely weird, even for Happ.
