WATCH: Heyward breaks Cubs out of slump with two-run blast |
CHICAGO — The Chicago Cubs went 15 innings without scoring before outfielder Jason Heyward jacked a two-run bomb out to left in the Cubs' third game of a four-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Skying his first home run since late July, Heyward plated Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo with a 374-foot dinger on Wednesday.

The yard ball occurred in the bottom of the first and provided the Cubs with a 2-1 advantage over the Buccos for their first lead of the series.
