WATCH: Heyward makes diving snag in center field

CHICAGO — In addition to collecting three RBI as a part of 2-5 performance that included his eighth home run of the season, Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward made an impact on the defensive end during the Cubs' 7-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday.

Robbing Pirates left fielder Corey Dickerson of a leadoff hit in the top of the seventh, Heyward, who was manning center field at the time, laid out for a diving catch. Snagging the baseball while plummeting toward the earth, Heyward was able to maintain possession of the ball upon making impact with the ground, thereby completing the web gem.
