WATCH: Highlights of Cubs' frenetic win over Brewers

by - Senior Writer -

MILWAUKEE — In a wild contest that featured multiple errors, passed balls and wild pitches, the Chicago Cubs (82-57) came out on top against the Milwaukee Brewers (79-62) by a final score of 6-4. Scoring four runs in the top of the fourth, thanks in large part to a pair of Milwaukee errors, the Cubs never trailed en route to victory.

Cubs sensation Javier Baez scored from first base on a routine single, with a throwing error committed by Brewers center fielder Lorenzo Cain aiding his cause. In addition, Daniel Murphy and Kyle Schwarber each hit a solo jack for the Cubs as part of a 13-hit performance by Chicago.
