WATCH: Highlights of insane Cubs-Giants slugfest

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — Wednesday's back-and-forth affair between the Chicago Cubs (68-58) and the San Francisco Giants (63-64) served as perhaps the most electrifying game of the season thus far at Wrigley Field. Outlasting the Giants 12-11, the Cubs went yard three times and racked up 14 hits.

The game-winning hit came in the form of a 2-run home run tallied by Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, which was one of seven homers hit on the night. Bryant's blast in the bottom of the eighth resulted in the fifth and final lead change.
