WATCH: Javier Baez, Tony Kemp combine for flawless double play |
CHICAGO — The Chicago Cubs' middle infield teamed up for a smooth double play on Friday. Helping bail Cubs starting pitcher
Jon Lester out after he suffered a fielding error, Cubs shortstop
Javier Baez and Cubs second baseman Tony Kemp combined for an impressive 4-6-3 double play.
In the top of the second at Wrigley Field, Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki smacked a hard-hit grounder that Kemp went down on one knee in order to field. Kemp then flipped the ball to Baez, who hustled to cover second base before firing a bullet to Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo for the second out. ?? Believe
