WATCH: Javier Baez crushes go-ahead 2-run dinger |
CHICAGO — Making perfect contact on a two-seamer thrown by Milwaukee Brewers starter Zach Davies, Chicago Cubs shortstop
Javier Baez swatted a 2-run home run into the left-field seats at Wrigley Field on Friday. The third-inning jack put the Cubs up 3-0 over the Brewers at Wrigley Field.
Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant led off the bottom of the third with a single, and he was plated on Baez's 376-footer, which was scorched off the bat at 104 miles per hour. The go-ahead dinger marked Baez's 26th long ball of the season and increased his 2019 RBI total to 71.
