WATCH: Javier Baez shakes young fan's hand, autographs his baseball |
CHICAGO — When the Chicago Cubs came onto the field to start Sunday's game versus the Washington Nationals, Cubs shortstop
Javier Baez took the time to exchange pleasantries with a young Cubs fan. The little boy was on the infield during the pregame festivities at Wrigley Field, and he was able to meet up with "Javy" before the action got underway.
Baez and the young boy engaged in an adorable handshake after Baez came out of the dugout to set up on the infield. Then, Baez signed the baseball that the kid had in his glove before the boy scurried away. Hilariously, while Baez was signing the ball, the little kid peeked underneath the bill of Baez's cap, as if to make sure that he was indeed receiving an autograph from "El Mago" himself. El Mago always has time for the fans. #PlayersWeekend pic.twitter.com/Gt22OLP3dP
