WATCH: Javy Baez with game-tying little league home run

by - Senior Editor -

Javy 'El Mago' Baez has done it again on Friday night.

Baez smacked an opposite-field triple off of Jeremy Jeffress for an RBI triple to score Addison Russell and then scored on a wild throw by second baseman Eric Sogard.

The throw actually drilled Baez in the head but he took off for home and was eventually safe. He was shaken up after the play but seemed OK in the dugout after rubbing his head a few times. Despite having some soreness on his head, he was out on defense the next inning and appears fine.

The game is now all tied up at 4-4.

Lester said the following about Baez's impressive displays on the basepaths.

"Javy never ceases to amaze people with what he's able to do on the basepaths, let alone with his defense and everything else," Lester said recently. "He's always going to play the game aggressively and it always seems to work out for us.

The ball hit him square in the back of the head.

Almora Jr. was helping out Baez who was obviously tired after the play.
