WATCH: Maddon, Zobrist both ejected in loss

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs were blanked 7-0 by the Brewers on Tuesday afternoon.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon and veteran second baseman Ben Zobrist were both ejected for arguing balls and strikes during the contest.

Zobrist told reporters after the game that he was tossed by home plate umpire Cuzzi because of the following statement about his strike zone.

"That's why we want an electronic strike zone," Zobrist said. "That's what got me tossed. I’m not going to lie...I think he was going toss me anyway before I said that, just because I wouldn't go away."

It was his first career ejection for Zobrist at any level of baseball.
