PITTSBURGH — After getting called up on Wednesday, infielder Robel Garcia partook in his debut MLB start on Thursday. Starting at second base for the Chicago Cubs against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Garcia made quite a splash with his first big-league hit, as he hustled around the bases for a 2-out triple.

Garcia made perfect contact on an 80-mile-per-hour curveball thrown over the heart of the plate by Pirates starting pitcher Jordan Lyles. Slapping a 3-bagger to deep right-center at PNC Park, Garcia showed off his wheels by motoring to third base.
