by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell is having a great game on Thursday night against the Miami Marlins.

Russell blasted a solo homer in the fifth inning to put the Cubs up 6-1. This was his third hit of the evening and he needs a triple for the elusive cycle.

It was his seventh homer of the season, had an exit velocity of 102 MPH, and traveled an estimated 416 feet.
