WATCH: Ryan Braun robs Contreras of homer, pretends to not have baseball

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun had a little fun following a spectacular homer-robbing catch in the sixth inning against the Chicago Cubs.

Cubs catcher Willson Contreras blasted a shot to left that seemed like it was certain to be a solo home run. However, Braun made an incredible play at the wall by jumping up and snagging the ball just as it cleared the fence, bringing it back over for the third out of the inning. With the remarkable play, Braun maintained Milwaukee's 2-1 lead.

After pulling off the web gem, Braun hid his glove behind his back while sporting a sheepish grin, making it seem as though he did not in fact have the baseball in his possession. Despite being robbed of a home run, even Contreras could not help but laugh at and applaud the light-hearted moment.
