WATCH: Schwarber blasts 429-foot Schwar-bomb to center field |
CHICAGO — For the second straight game, Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber blasted a trademark Schwar-bomb against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In a fourth-inning at-bat, Schwarber took the first pitch thrown to him by Ross Stripling over the wall in straightaway center field, putting the Cubs up 2-0. Schwarber now boasts 14 home runs on the season and is tied with Javier Baez for the team lead in that category. Traveling 429 feet into the seats beyond center field, Schwarber's solo shot left the yard at 109 miles per hour and had a trajectory of 27 degrees. .@kschwarb12 ties Javy for the team lead with HR No. 14. #EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/c7Kr31SvFt
