WATCH: Schwarber cranks two-run blast to tie Baez for team lead |
SAN DIEGO — Serving as foreshadowing, Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber absolutely crushed a towering foul ball on the second pitch of his fourth-inning at-bat. Three pitches later, he went yard for a two-run bomb to give the Cubs a 3-2 lead over the San Diego Padres.

Traveling at 103 miles per hour, the long ball had a 25-degree launch angle. Schwarber is now tied with Cubs second baseman Javier Baez for the team lead in home runs at 18. Both players are set to compete in this coming Monday's Home Run Derby. Kyle Schwarber (26) off RHP Luis Perdomo (5) - 103.5 mph, 25 degrees (369 ft Home Run)
