WATCH: Schwarber interrupts Hawk's special moment with 444-foot SCHWAR-BOMB |
Chicago White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson's 34-year career in the booth ended on Sunday night as he witnessed the Cubs beat the White Sox 6-1 in the crosstown rivalry.
However, one of the funniest moments of the season happened when he was being honored on the telecast for his many years as a broadcaster. In the top of the second inning, Kyle Schwarber decided to give Harrelson a Cubs send-off with a 444-foot Schwar-bomb in the middle of him getting an award from Ed Burke, Alderman of the 14th ward. Hawk will always remember Schwarber's dinger on his final day of working White Sox games.
