WATCH: Schwarber makes Harrison Bader pay for testing his arm

ST. LOUIS — Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber has developed a reputation this season of being one of the best outfield arms in baseball. However, runners have continued to test Schwarber's cannon and have also continued to pay the price for it.

Sunday's victim was St. Louis Cardinals speedster Harrison Bader, who attempted to stretch a single to left field into a double in the seventh inning. Bader was quickly put in his place by Schwarber, who threw a rocket to Cubs second baseman Ben Zobrist.

Sliding headfirst, Bader was tagged out just in the nick of time. A replay review by the umpires commenced, but the call was upheld. With the throw, Schwarber accrued his sixth assist of the season, which leads all left fielders.
