WATCH: Votto with one of the worst errors ever |
The Cubs defeated the Reds 6-5 on Sunday afternoon with a walk-off walk to seal the Northsiders' seventh win in the last eight games.
One of the main reasons that the Cubs were victorious was a horrid error by veteran first baseman Joey Votto. The normally sure-handed first baseman fumbled the baseball right before he touched the base for the out in the final stanza. It was a devastating play for the Reds as Addison Russell was called safe after the review by the umpires. Hero David Bote eventually secures the walk-off walk and the rest is history.
