WATCH: Zobrist proves that age is just a number, makes impressive diving catch

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — Even at 37 years old, Ben Zobrist of the Chicago Cubs is still good for a web gem every now and then. Having the reputation throughout his MLB career for being a "super utility player" with a knack for playing just about anywhere on the diamond, Zobrist is a reliable defender who rarely makes defensive mistakes.

However, at his ripe age, Zobrist does not often make any highlight reels, but, in the Cubs' clash with the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, "Zorilla" turned back the clock with an impressive diving snag of a bloop hit in shallow right field. Galloping toward the ball and laying out to make the catch, Zobrist showcased one of the many reasons why, even as he approaches 40, he is still so valuable to the Cubs.
