WATCH: Zobrist smacks solo shot for his fifth homer

by - Senior Writer -

CINCINNATI — With the second solo home run of the day for the Chicago Cubs, second baseman Ben Zobrist lofted a dinger to right-center to cut the Cubs' deficit to six runs.

Marking Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani's second long ball allowed on the afternoon, the shot by Zobrist, which made the score 8-2, served as his first home run since May and his fifth of the year.

The round-tripper, which came after Cubs catcher Willson Contreras hit a solo homer to a similar spot earlier in the ballgame, sailed 378 feet at a velocity of 103 miles per hour.
