The Cubs-Pirates game on Thursday night was suspended due to rain and it has been called over at 8:45 pm CT. Major League Baseball deemed it an official tie game [1-1] since it will not be made up.

It is the first Cubs tie game since 5/28/1993 against the Montreal Expos at Wrigley Field. The last major league game to end in a tie was the Astros vs. Reds on 6/30/2005.

The Cubs are 101-57-1 on the season.
