by - Senior Editor -

ESPN released its latest MLB Power Rankings on Monday and the Chicago Cubs have stayed at #3 overall with their 55-36 record.

The Cubs are currently sitting in first-place in the National League Central with a seven-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals.

"The Cubs begin the second half with a stretch of games that allows them to not have to board a plane until their Aug. 5 trip to Oakland." ESPN said.

The top 10 teams in ESPN's MLB rankings were the San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Houston Astros.
