ESPN has released his latest MLB Power Rankings on Monday and the Cubs are currently holding the #1 spot with a 24-6 record and currently sitting in first-place in the NL Central with an impressive 7.5 game lead over Pittsburgh.

"The Cubs have won seven games in a row," Sporting News said. "Their run differential is more than twice as big as the next best team’s (the Mets' +44). Of the National League’s four top ERA holders, three are Cubs. Oh, and they’re on pace to win 130 games; according to advanced analytical research, that would be pretty good."

The top 10 teams in the rankings were the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, New York Mets, Washington Nationals, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cubs rival St. Louis Cardinals were ranked #10 in the rankings which made three teams in the National League Central in the Top 10.
