Freshii restaurants to give away franchise if Cubs win title

The Freshii restaurant chain that specializes in salads announced on Thursday that it would be waiving the $30,000 franchise fee for a new franchise if the Cubs win the World Series this year.

"We thought this would be a great way to get into a neighborhood we'd like to have a presence in," said Freshii spokeswoman Nikki Nardick. "This seemed like a great way to reach an audience that are either die-hard Cubs fans or they're entrepreneurial and interested in getting involved in things in nontraditional ways."

The only caveat - The franchisee would have to work with Freshii to find a location in the Wrigleyville area.
