Former six-time All-Star closer Joe Nathan has been transferred to Triple-A Iowa from Double-A Tennessee according to multiple reports.

Nathan has been battling back from Tommy John surgery he had back in April 2015. Nathan was previously at Double-A Tennessee and pitched 6.2 innings giving up three hits and two runs in seven total appearances.

He was on the 60-day disabled list but is set to come off that on July 16 and might make an appearance with the major league club next week if everything goes well.

Nathan is 62-34 with 377 saves and a 2.89 ERA (294 ER/917.IP) in 777 major league appearances.
