Cubs News: Pedro Strop to have MRI on his knee |
Cubs reliever Pedro Strop will have a MRI on his left knee on Thursday morning.
"He hurt his knee, and that's all I know right now," Cubs manager Joe Maddon said to reporters after last night's win. "It's really an unfortunate moment." Strop was injured on Wednesday night after sliding to his knee while fielding an infield grounder by Unel Escobar. Strop was helped off the field by the training staff in the 8th inning as he could not put any weight on his left leg. To make matters worse, Hector Rondon is currently sidelined with sore triceps.
