Schwarber on Mets' series: " Just going to be another ballgame"

by - Senior Editor -

The New York Mets have had the Chicago Cubs' number since the 2015 postseason with the Mets winning in the National League Championship series and sweeping the Cubs in four straight games at Citi Field right before the All-Star break.

"We really do like to approach every single game the same way as we would in the postseason or whatever it is," said Schwarber on ESPN 1000 Monday. "So right now it's just going to be another ballgame for us. We got to go out and we want to play our game.

"We don't wanna play someone else's game because that's when things start going downhill. We're gonna play our game and we're going to try and execute the game plan and we'll take the end result. It's going to be a fun series to watch for sure."

In 2015, Schwarber hit .246 with 16 home runs, 43 RBIs with an outstanding .842 OPS in only 69 games (273 at-bats) in his rookie season.
