Cubs News: Schwarber thanks all the fans for their support |
The Cubs announced this past Friday that left-fielder Kyle Schwarber will miss the remainder of the season due to full tears of his right ACL and LCL and a severely sprained ankle.
Schwarber made the trip to Wrigley Field and was introduced to a standing ovation alongside the rest of his teammates during Monday's night home opener against the Cincinnati Reds. He felt moved with all of the fan support so he tweeted his appreciation after the Cubs 5-3 win. "Thanks to the fans and the Cubs for making the pregame introductions really special for my first home opener! THANK YOU ALL!," Schwarber tweeted.
