Cubs News: Vegas odds on Arrieta winning Cy Young

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs ace pitcher Jake Arrieta has been dominant this year with a 1.29 ERA with a 7-0 record in 56 innings with 55 strikeouts, 29 hits, and a 0.84 WHIP.

Arrieta is now 18-0 in his last 20 starts since last August, and he is 23-1 with a 0.98 ERA with just 45 walks and 202 strikeouts in the last 28 starts since last June. He has also allowed three or fewer runs in each of his last 28 starts.

Amazingly, Arrieta has more no-hitters (2) than losses (1) over his last 28 starts.

The Westgate Las Vegas Superbook released its latest Cy Young odds, and Arrieta was tied with Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw as favorites with odds at 2-1.

In the American League, Chicago White Sox pitcher Chris Sale was tops at 5-7 odds to win the award.
