The Chicago Cubs appear to have a ton of organization depth at the catcher position.

During the first inning of Monday's game, the Cubs exploded for five runs in the first inning against the Mariners including a three-run blast to centerfield by third-string catcher Josh Phegley.

Phegley is competing for the final roster spot with the team as there is a small chance they will carry three catchers. If he keeps hitting three-run dingers, he certainly will be putting his best foot forward.
