ST. LOUIS — After Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber put the North Siders on the scoreboard a few innings earlier, Cubs center fielder Ian Happ provided the Cubs with a 3-0 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals by way of a 2-run blast on Saturday. The third-inning dinger at Busch Stadium marked Happ's 10th dinger of the year.

The monstrous jack carried 436 feet out to center field after Happ connected on a sinker thrown by Cardinals hurler Adam Wainwright. Sporting an exit velocity of 107 miles per hour, the 2-run round-tripper, which plated second baseman Nico Hoerner, served as Happ's third homer in his last 10 outings.
