Cubs News: Weather update for World Series game on Friday

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs are tied 1-1 in the 2016 World Series with the Cleveland Indians as the series shifts to Wrigley Field on Friday night at 7:08 CT.

One of the big storylines will probably be the weather as forecasts show southwest to northeast winds out of center field around 25 MPH, with gusts up to 40 MPH.

The Cubs would get a huge boost with Kyle Schwarber's power in the lineup if he plays in left field but Theo Epstein and the rest of the management will not want to compromise his future for a few at-bats regardless if it's the Fall Classic.

Kyle Hendrick will be on the mound for the Cubs, and he keeps the ball down pretty low with his pinpoint precision as a ground ball pitcher. He has only allowed 15 homers this season.

The Indians will counter with Josh Tomlin on the mound, and he has allowed a pretty hefty 36 homers this season.
