Ken Allison - Columnist
Ken Allison has been a loyal fan of the Cubs for 45 years. Born on the south side of Chicago, Ken grew up in the suburb of Chicago Heights and frequented Cubs' games as a child and young adult with his father. Although always interested in writing, Ken's career path led him into a different direction, having spent 17 years as a long haul truck driver and eight years as a paramedic. Ken's writing accomplishments include his anecdotal book, "Eat Your Fries First: Life Through a Medic's Eyes," as well as writing lyrics for 80's rap star, Shawn Brown. Ken graduated from the University of Toledo in 2000, with an education in pre-law and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine. Ken is now retired due to a back injury and resides in southwestern Missouri with his wife, Marianne, and his son, Nick. To battle the boredom of disability, Ken and his family now operate a small hobby farm, raising sheep for market.
