Cubs News: Bosio leaves team for personal matters

by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs pitching coach Chris Bosio will be away from the team dealing with personal matters as his father has passed away.

Bullpen coach Les Strode will take over pitching coach duties while he is away.

Maddon told reporters on Monday night that he is not sure when Bosio will rejoin the team.

The veteran pitching coach will be missed as he is a former major league starter with ten years of experience with the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners while even throwing a no-hitter in 1993.

CubsHQ would like to send our condolences to Bosio and his friends and family during this difficult time.
