Cubs projected to easily win NL League Central |
Spring Training baseball is finally here.
Bovada released their latest odds for the over/under win totals on the 2018 season and the Cubs were second-highest total in the National League at 94.5 wins this upcoming season. The addition of Darvish bumped up the North Siders a few wins since the last odds. The Brewers were picked second in the division at a distant 85.5 wins, the Cardinals clinging to third with 84.5 wins while the Reds and Pirates are sadly projected at only 73.5 and 73 wins respectively. It looks like with all the new additions by the different teams; the Cubs will reign supreme on top of the division once again. Of course, with so many free agents currently dangling in the wind, these projections could change drastically with a few different big-time signings (Arrieta, Martinez, etc.) by any of the teams. Overall in MLB, the Dodgers and Astros both sat at No. 1 with regards to win projections at 96.5. USA Today also released their season projections and had the North Siders winning the National League division with a 92-70 record.
