Former Cubs pitcher dies from brain cancer

Former Chicago Cubs pitcher Anthony "AY" Young has passed away from brain cancer in Houston on Tuesday.

Young spent two years with the Cubs (1994, 1995) and was 7-10 with 3.87 ERA with two saves. For his major league career which also included his years with the Mets and a stint with the Astros, he had 3.89 ERA with 20 saves and 245 strikeouts.

The 51-year old was most famous for losing 27 consecutive decisions between 1992 and 1993 which still is the longest streak in MLB history. His career is one of the most bizarre in major league history because he was very unlucky with all the defeats despite his respectable 3.89 career ERA.
