It’s not too late for Cubs fans across the nation to make it to Wrigley Field this weekend for a decent price. Airfare rates are constantly changing, and here’s what’s new today.
There is an awesome round trip fare from Atlanta to Chicago to O’Hare coming up for the Sunday game with Milwaukee and the series with the Mets next week. On United, it’ll cost you just $102 roundtrip non-stop if you leave on Saturday, September 9 in the afternoon from Atlanta and return on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. You wouldn’t be able to watch the game on Saturday, but you can catch Sunday’s game against Milwaukee by leaving Atlanta on Saturday afternoon. There isn’t a game on Monday, giving you a chance to see the city. The Cubs return to action on Tuesday against the Mets, and you can choose to go back to Atlanta on Wednesday or Thursday. This trip is on United. You’re allowed a carry on free, and it’s $25 for a checked bag each way. Pack light and you’re all set to see the Cubs. From Phoenix to Chicago there is a great fare starting Saturday on Frontier. Leave PHX at 8:29 am and be in Chicago by 2:05 pm for $117. You won’t have enough time to catch the entire game Saturday, but after a bit of rest and exploring the city, you’ll be good to go for the Sunday game. Return Wednesday to Friday to get this rate. From New York to Chicago fares have gone down. Leave LaGuardia on Friday at 9:55 am in the morning on Saturday, and you’re in Chicago by 11:35 am at O’Hare. You should have time to make it to Wrigley for a 3:05 pm start against Milwaukee. Return on Tuesday or later for a total of $91 round trip plus baggage fees, which you do need to take into account on Spirit. From Las Vegas to Chicago there is a great deal right now, but it will cost you some sleep. For $100 (plus baggage fees), you can leave Friday at 12:41 am on Spirit and arrive at O’Hare at 6:15 am. You can return any day the next week except for Thursday or Friday to get that fare. Other low fares to Chicago today: From Orlando: Leave Friday at 5:15 pm on Frontier and fly nonstop to Chicago. Arrive at 7:25 pm. If you return to Orlando on Tuesday or Wednesday, and you can get this fare for $87 plus baggage. From Dallas: There are two nonstop options, both for $99 plus baggage on Spirit. You can leave Saturday at 7 am and arrive in Chicago at 9:30 am, or you can leave Saturday at 4:40 pm and arrive in Chicago at 7:10 pm. Come back any day except Sunday to get this price. From Boston: For $99 plus baggage, you can fly out of Boston at 5 am on Saturday, arriving in Chicago at 6:45 am. Return on Tuesday or Wednesday to get this rate.
