Maddon on controversy with Trump and NFL players

by - Senior Editor -

It appears that President Trump is now going after professional athletes on social media.

Trump has been tweeting about NFL players kneeling before games and recently rescinded an offer for the Golden State Warriors to attend the White House.

Since then, many professional athletes including Lebron James have been outspoken about the leadership of Donald Trump and the current administration.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon was asked about all of this following the team's loss against the Brewers on Saturday.

“It’s dangerous when folks in our country stop respecting the White House and the seat of the president,” Maddon said. “It’s not a good situation. With all due respect to everybody, I just believe that we need to get our acts together collectively, all of us.”
