The Chicago Bears have released veteran quarterback Nathan Peterman on Wednesday according to multiple reports.

That leaves the Bears with only two quarterbacks on the roster with Justin Fields and Tyson Bagent.

Peterman was the backup quarterback through the first two games of the 2023 season.

He completed 14-25 passes for 139 yards, one touchdown, and one interception last season.

With Peterman gone, Bagent is now thrust into the backup quarterback role as a rookie.

More to come on this breaking news story.
